ITINERARY:
DAY 01. MEXICO D.F.
Arrival at Mexico City airport. Assistance and transfer to your hotel. Overnight.
DAY 02. MÉXICO CITY
Breakfast. Visit to the main square or "Zócalo", the Cathedral, the Government Palace with Diego Rivera's murals, where we will find five centuries of history of Mexico. Panoramic view of some beautiful buildings as: Mining Palace, National Art Museum, Post Office and the Alameda central park, where the Fine Arts Palace is located. Head to Reforma avenue and Chapultepec area. Arrival and visit to Anthropology Museum, one of the most important in the world. We will visit the Mexica or Aztec and Maya halls. You may stay there on your own and visit some other halls as: Teotihuacan,Toltec,Olmeca or Mixtec-Zapotec cultures or go back to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. We suggest an optional tour to Xochimilco´s water canals. Overnight.
DAY 03. BASILICA DE GUADALUPE - TEOTIHUACAN PYRAMIDS
Breakfast. Guadalupe Shrine & Teotihuacan Pyramids. Daily, all year round. 8 hours. We will go to Tlatelolco area in order to make a brief stop at the Three Cultures Square. Continue to Guadalupe Shrine, the second most visited catholic sanctuary in the world. Head to the archaeological site of Teotihuacan, "where the men become gods". We will admire this advanced culture with the Sun & Moon pyramids, the Temple of Quetzalcoatl and the Butterflies palace. Lunch. Visit to a handicraft factory and go back to the hotel.
DAY 04. MEXICO - OAXACA
Breakfast. Arrival at Oaxaca airport. Assistance and transfer to your hotel. Overnight.
DAY 05. OAXACA - MONTE ALBAN - MITLA - TULE
Breakfast. During the morning visit to Monte Alban, a great archeological site to behold. Built on a mountain top flattened by the zapotecs. Where we will find different culture manifestations such as Olmecs, Mixtecs and Zapotecs.The Main Square, the Observatory, Tomb # 7, the Stones of the Dancers. In the afternoon we will continue on to Mitla, one of the most enigmatic sacred places. The village had a great importance as a burial site. The buildings are decorated with symbolic mosaics. In route we are going to find the Tule Tree, perhaps one of the biggest living beings in the world. Return to Oaxaca and visit its beautiful city, including the Cathedral, the magnificent Santo Domingo church and Gold museum. Overnight.
DAY 06. OAXACA-VILLAHERMOSA
Breakfast. Arrival at Villahermosa airport. Assistance and transfer to your hotel
DAY 07. VILLAHERMOSA-PALENQUE-VILLAHERMOSA
Early departure to Palenque. Visit through these arqueological zone, one of the most important in the Mayan World. Within its historical findings you can appreciate the tomb stone of the KingPakal, engraved with hieroglyphics. Among temples are: the Temple of the Sun, La Cruz Foliada, the Palace. Lunch and return to Villahermosa. Overnight.
DAY 08. VILLAHERMOSA-MERIDA
Arrival to the airport of Merida. Technical assistance and transfer to your hotel. Time at l e i s u r e . O v e r n i g h t .
DAY 09. MERIDA - UXMAL LIGHT & SOUND SHOW
Breakfast. Departure to Uxmal.Visit of this beautifull zone to admire the Guesser pyramid, the Nunnery Quadrangle, Governor s palace, Ball Game court etc. Dinner. Light & Sound show. Return to Merida.Overnight.
DAY 10. MERIDA - CHICHEN ITZA - CANCÚN
Breakfast. Departure to Chichén Itzá, the most important Mayan and awesome site in México. We will find advanced archaeo-astronomic knowledge in this city. We will visit the pyramid "the Castle" or Kukulcán temple, the Ballgame Court ,the Skull temple, Jaguar's temple, the Observatory, the One Thousand Columns Square, the Sacred Well (cenote). Lunch. Continuation to Tulum. overnight
DAY 11. TULUM
Breakfast. Visit of the Tulum archaeological site (Optional excursion). Overnight.
DAY 12. TULUM
Breakfast. Optional excursions (visit to a eco-park). Overnight.
DAY 13. TULUM
Breakfast. Transfer from your hotel to the Cancun International Airport.
